Airbana now IPv6 Accessible

Not that this is going to affect anyone who isn’t a hardcore geek but Airbana is now accessible over IPv6.

The infrastructure is the same and IPv6 connectivity is provided by SixXS.

For those of you that have IPv6 connectivity there is an AAAA record for www.airbana.co.uk [and blog.airbana.co.uk] so no need to use the IPv6 literal [] URL.

Does this make Airbana the first IPv6 airsoft site?

It is great that more websites are adopting IPv6 – however, the address for Airbana is a 6to4 address, not a global address. Some users may not be able to access it if they have global ipv6 connectivity because 6to4 is known to be troublesome. If you have connectivity with Sixxs, you should set the address beginning “2001:” in DNS.

Gah, please ignore my previous comment. I just woke up. 6to4 address do indeed start with 2002: and not 2a01:!
